About Me

If you’re reading this, you’re already taking an important step toward seeking support and addressing the challenges that may be standing in the way of the life you want to live.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience providing psychotherapy and supporting the professional development of mental health clinicians. My work focuses on helping individuals navigate trauma, mood concerns, grief, life transitions, and the complex emotional experiences that shape our relationships with ourselves and others.

I approach this work with curiosity, respect, and a deep appreciation for the resilience people carry within them. Whether working with individuals in therapy or clinicians seeking consultation, training, or supervision, my goal is to create a thoughtful and supportive space where reflection, insight, and meaningful growth can occur.

My Education & Trainings

  • I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical practice and evidence-based mental health care. I also completed a dual Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, graduating with recognition on the Dean’s and National Dean’s Lists.

My academic training reflects a longstanding commitment to understanding human behavior, trauma, and the intersection of mental health and complex life experiences, which continues to inform my clinical work today.

  • I completed advanced training in multiple evidence-based mental health treatments, with a strong emphasis on nationally recognized programs and collaboratives. I completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech and received formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I participated as a Senior Leader in multiple Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Learning Collaboratives through Duke University (2015–2017), strengthening my expertise in trauma-focused treatment and implementation of evidence-based practices at both clinical and systems levels.

  • I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and behavioral health leader with extensive experience developing clinicians, building programs, and leading complex mental health systems across outpatient, community-based, and crisis services.

My work integrates direct clinical care, licensure supervision, and executive leadership. I bring advanced training in evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, along with extensive experience training and supervising clinicians in their implementation.

With nearly two decades of clinical experience, including 14 years in community mental health, I have worked across all levels of care, from direct service to multidisciplinary team leadership and organizational oversight. This breadth allows me to bring both clinical depth and operational expertise to the clinicians and organizations I support.

My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice and informed by work in high-acuity settings, interdisciplinary systems, and diverse populations. I emphasize practical, adaptable strategies that support real-world clinical application across settings and levels of care.

My Approach

I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to slow down, reflect, and approach their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice.

In therapy, this means working together to understand patterns, build emotional awareness, and develop practical skills that support healing and resilience. In consultation, training, and supervision, it means fostering thoughtful clinical reflection, strengthening clinical judgment, and supporting clinicians as they grow in confidence and skill.

Across all aspects of my work, I emphasize balance between acceptance and change - learning to make space for what cannot be altered while developing the insight and tools needed to transform what can.

Why Work with Me?

I bring a unique combination of experience that spans:

  • Direct clinical care across outpatient and community settings

  • Clinical supervision and large-scale workforce development

  • Program creation, implementation, and evaluation

  • Organizational leadership and system-wide oversight

In addition, I have extensive experience training clinicians and implementing evidence-based practices at scale - bridging the gap between clinical knowledge and real-world application.

This allows me to support both clinicians and organizations in ways that are practical, informed, and immediately applicable.
